we will be celebrating our youth. From innovative,
focused programming for youth in grades to K -12 to
recognition of their accomplishments, we plan to
showcase, highlight and promote tomorrow’s leaders. Your

Celebration Donation
Celebration Donation
is a program that allows donors to mark the milestones
of their lives by making an impact on the life of a
child or a family. Consider having your friends and
loved ones bring donations in lieu of gifts for your
birthday, anniversary, confirmation, or other
celebration. The donations can even be used to adopt a
specific wish to commemorate this special moment in your
life.
This program also provides people who receive
honorariums, monetary contributions for performances or
proceeds from an event a philanthropic alternative to
support the League by directing those funds to be
donated to the League. For every donation received on
your behalf, we will send a hand written, personalized
letter from the President and CEO to each of the donors
and provide a framed thank you letter from the Dayton
Urban League for you to display at your event
acknowledging your generous gift. If you are interested

Tribute and
Memorial Gifts
When you make a gift in memory or in
honor of a special person, we will send out a card on
your behalf. Please remember to provide us with the
mailing address of the person you wish to notify when
you make your gift. Another tribute gift option is to
adopt a program in honor of a friend or family member.
The Legacy of Success Planned Giving Society
To ensure
that your legacy lives on by helping us to provide
self-sufficiency, employment and academic services for
years to come, please consider making a planned gift to
the League. There are a variety of planned giving
vehicles to choose from: Bequest, wills, trusts,
retirement plans, and life insurance policies , Personal
property or real estate, Outright cash gifts, Gifts of
stocks, bonds, and other securities.

Stock, Bond, and Mutual
Funds Contributions
If you make a gift of stock, bonds,
mutual funds, or other securities, you can take a tax
deduction for the average per share price of the
securities on the date of transfer (rather than the
price you paid for the securities), allowing you an even
larger tax break if the securities have increased in
value. Please contact us for more information or to
arrange a transfer.
United Way/Combined Federal Campaign
Many employers have partnerships with the United Way.
Check with your human resources department to see if you
can have your United Way payroll deduction designated to
the Dayton Urban League.
